How we give @ River of Life

As a church we firmly believe in being a blessing whenever and wherever possible. This means not only giving financially but also of our time, gifting's and resources.

As you can see from the graph to the left we have a strong commitment to missions and outreach and have over the past few years given at least 45% of our budget to many different needs.

We regularly support both Compassion, through child sponsorship and our local Gympie and Cooloola schools chaplaincy program. A number of our members are also heavily involved with Care Outreach ministering through drought affected areas in western Queensland.

 

Blessing others

As a part of our vision and when opportunity arises the church also loves to be able to travel to other churches to share in their Sunday services and just be a support and blessing to the local church. We have had opportunity to fulfil this in Kingaroy, Proston and Goondiwindi and Crows Nest.

Goondiwindi

On the weekend of 7- 9th August 2009 approximately 20 people traveled to Goondiwindi. Staying at Kurrumbul Homestead the group enjoyed a great weekend of fellowship and shared in two services at Goondiwindi COC.

Since that time River of Life has made several trips to Goondiwindi to encourage and support the church there with the long term goal of continuing this. Not only do the people enjoy a great time of fellowship but also get to enjoy some fishing, swimming snd exploring the area.

A small group has already travelled to Gundy this year with another trip planned for April/May and the a further two trips throughout the year.
